Azzaro Onyx, launched in 2007, is one of those fragrances that genuinely surprises you. Built around the classic fougère framework (lavender, geranium, and oakmoss) it expands far beyond that with a rich mix of supporting notes that give it real depth and versatility. It can easily slide between fruity, aromatic, fresh, and even lightly leathery territory, all while staying smooth and well-balanced. While it leans a bit more toward a man with some life experience—forty-plus feels right—it never feels dated. In fact, it’s almost like Sauvage EDT finally grew up, traded late nights for responsibility, settled into a steady rhythm, keeps his lawn sharp, coaches little league, and is happily in bed by 10pm. Confident, composed, and quietly magnificent.
